During the month of November,there
was a decrease in residential burglaries,robberies and stolen vehicles
in Reporting Districts 1801 and 1802.However,there were three
residential burglaries that stood out.In all three of these burglaries
the suspect entered the resident’s home via an open window.Two of these
burglars were apprehended.I understand residents are leaving the
windows open due to the increase in temperature during the evening.However,let’s not forget to lock those windows when you go to work.An
open window is an open invitation for any burglar.Take the extra moment
to check all your windows before leaving the house.It will prevent
your house from being broken into.The suspects involved were apprehended due to concerned neighbors calling in suspicious activity.This is when it becomesactivity to our police department (see telephone numbers below).
